Shipping
Advanced Shipping Rules let you set the recurring shipping price on a subscription from the size of the order, instead of taking whatever flat rate your shipping profile quotes.
A flat rate charges the same to ship a $12 refill and a $140 restock box, which gives subscribers no reason to add one more item before renewal. Now you set rules by country, state, or province in Settings > Shipping and stack price tiers inside each one, say $10 under $50, $5 from $50, and free over $100. The first rule matching a subscriber's address wins, so a California rule can sit above your US-wide rule. You decide whether one-time add-ons count toward the threshold and what to charge below your lowest tier, and a shipping resync pushes the new pricing to existing subscriptions. Prepaid subscriptions sit outside these rules.
The payoff is a shipping line that earns its keep on every renewal, because a free-shipping threshold set right above your typical order gives subscribers a concrete reason to build a bigger box.
